I work in childcare to inspire children to be who they want to be and to create the best possible educational start in life for every child.

I have performed in Disney World in Florida and was once offered a place at the Royal Ballet!

I hold various certificates in agriculture including fork lift truck! I have a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. I have 2 children and also help my husband on the farm. In my spare time I play Netball, craft, DIY and gardening. I enjoy seeing the children grow and develop into their own personalities. It’s good to know that we take a part in providing an environment whereby each child feels safe and comfortable. In the future I would love to have my own farm shop, care farm or host school visits to teach people about animals and the countryside.

Jayne
Forest School Leader

I am the Forest School Leader here at Bradley Barns. I support child-led learning in the outdoors through Forest School sessions, gardening, nature walks and craft activities using natural materials.

After gaining a degree in Geography, I worked for several Environmental Charities and conservation groups. This included working with school children on various wildlife projects. I worked as the Education Ranger at Delamere Forest for many years and more recently supported learners with learning difficulties at Reaseheath College.

I have recently qualified as a Level 3 Forest School Leader and completed an Outdoor First Aid course. I enjoy being creative and would love to learn how to make willow sculptures to add interest in and around the nursery.

I am married with two children, a dog, a rabbit and tortoise to look after! We enjoy spending time in our campervan usually at the beach on a hot sunny day! I also love gardening, flower arranging and painting.

Everyday in childcare is different and I really enjoy inspiring young children to spend time outside, discovering the wonders of the natural world and having amazing adventures. I would love to see some of the worlds natural wonders although I have swum with dolphins and snorkelled on the Great Barrier Reef.

Kelly
Level 3 Practitioner

My name is Kelly and I’m a Level 3 practitioner here at Bradley Barns. Previous to working in the Nursery I was employed by Tesco for four years as a training sponsor. I also spent nine years in a hair salon where I achieved my NVQ Level 2 in hairdressing. I am also a qualified ear piercer and dog groomer!

I am inspired to eventually become a Speech and Language Therapist for children recovering from cleft lip and palate like myself. I really enjoy teaching children to learn how to walk, talk, toilet, share, eat and drink independently. I encourage self independence such as getting dressed and love to see them thrive and flourish when they can achieve these things.

At weekends I particularly enjoy walking, eating out, concerts and seeing new places. I love to holiday in Anglesey, Cyprus and Amsterdam and would really like to go back to Barbados where my brother got married. I live with my parents and am godmother to my two beautiful nieces.

Molly
Level 3 Practitioner

My name is Molly and I work full time in the Little Owls (baby room). I am a fully qualified Level 3 practitioner and I am the key worker to most of the Little Owls children.

I began volunteering at Bradley Barns after leaving school and have now been here for three years. I took a week’s work experience during school at a preschool nursery which helped me make my final decision to pursue my passion of childcare. I achieved my Level 2 and 3 in childcare and Level 1 in Safeguarding and baby training. I have also worked as a one to one SEN worker here at the Nursery. After furthering my skill set, I would like to transfer my knowledge and work closely with a family as a Nanny.

I love working with young people as there is no better feeling than knowing you have had a positive impact on a child’s life. It is very rewarding to have helped a child develop and grow into their own special, confident individual and I couldn’t imagine ever doing anything else other than childcare.

My preferred age range of children to work with is 3 months to 1 year however I have worked with all ages of children and each one is rewarding in its own way.

When not at work I enjoy spending time with my family, listening to music and shopping! As well as this I love to express myself through bright hair and tattoos!

Natalia
Level 3 Apprentice

My name is Natalia and I’m currently a Level 3 apprentice. I have completed my first year childcare course at College where I have gained an EYE Level 3 certificate and hope to complete my Level 3 Diploma. I hope to continue my career in childcare and expand my knowledge of children through a University course to help me gain higher qualifications. I previously had work experience in office-based jobs where I was responsible for incoming calls and making appointments, ordering and chasing deadlines. This made me a much more confident and outgoing person.

I’ve always been interested in childcare as I used to look after my younger brother. I always find ways to help them even if it’s a simple hug to brighten up their day.

I enjoy volunteering in charity events for children such as summer activities, a scary monster at Halloween and Santa’s favourite elf at Christmas time!

In my spare time I enjoy taking my two dogs for walks with my family to National Trust parks and to the beach where they love to play in the sea! I like to be physically active and really enjoy water sports and horse riding.
