July 2022

July Newsletter

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are delighted to introduce new staff members that have recently started working with us here at the Nursery. Sarah-Mary has returned to work with us at Bradley Barns in her new position as an Early Years Teacher. Her role will be primarily to deliver the EYFS, literacy and numeracy throughout the setting over and above the baby room.  Sarah-Mary will also be our 3rd on charge. Tash is working in between the Barn Owls and Snowy Owls rooms; Zuleika is in Snowy Owls and Barbara is assisting Della in the kitchen two days a week. Whilst we welcome the new members to the team it is with sadness that Suzy is leaving us at the end of July. We are grateful for Suzy’s hard work and the wonderful relationship that she has had with all the children in her care. We wish her well in her future line of work. Sam will be taking over Suzy’s position as room leader and is familiar to all children and parents.

We had a wonderful celebration for the children that are leaving us, with a sunny afternoon party in Forest School. It was sad to see so many children leave us, but we know that they are ready to move on and shine brightly at school. We thank all parents and carers for their custom over the time that their children have attended our setting.

Unfortunately, we are continuing to see more children’s clothes either being misplaced or lost. We apologise for this, but we are struggling to cope with so many items being unnamed. It will help us enormously if you label ALL your clothes. This may seem very time consuming but will help us and you to keep track of individual items.

Unfortunately, we are giving advance notice of a 2% increase arriving in the September invoices. We have strived hard keep costs down as we all struggle to keep pace with the rising cost of living but, have had no choice to implement the increase. We are always monitoring our costs but continue to remain price competitive with other settings in the area.

If you have any questions regarding any of the above, then please don’t hesitate to contact us here at the office.
